It was the very definition of serendipity! My friend Will had just asked me if I knew of any good cookbooks focusing on packing school lunch for kids, and I had just regretfully replied that there were hardly any at all, and someone ought to write one…

As the mom of kids aged 7 and 12 and a long time school-lunch bumbler, I can strongly endorse this book, although it is not the only one out there this fall. It’s nutritionally sound, nicely put together, and full of logical tips for hacking the weekday-morning rush. In other words, you should definitely check it out.
