Elbow length,padded, leather welding gloves.

Being 6’5″ with a floor-standing oven, I invariably touch my forearms’ insides on the scorching hot top element or edge of the oven when I have a dutch oven full of loveliness that needs to come out NOW. Not fun.

The extra length of the gloves protects those tender bits perfectly and because they’re fairly well insulated and have individual fingers, rather than a mitt, I find I’m far more dexterous and able to manipulate items in the oven quickly and easily, without having to take them out at all.

Best part? They look completely bad-ass. ;-)
